The Plastic

We create art from plastic that was destined for landfill!

The main plastic I work with is HDPE (High Density PolyEthlen) ♻️2  Mainly bottle tops. These pesky plastic lids pose a challenge to council recycling systems because of their small size (they get lost in the sorting machines) and they are a mixture of plastic types. Instead of ending up in landfill, we transform them into beautiful products.

I mostly get my lids from various groups around Otautahi Christchurch. They are wonderfully sorted by plastic type and colour. If you have a group or are interested in providing SORTED lids you can contact me for the details on what my needs are. 

I also use milk bottles in some of my creations too. I have a few Cafes that I can collect these from.

And the amazing Creative Junk. They have big drums of milk bottle lids among the other wonderful crafting discoveries there.
